A Quick Guide to Alerts & Reminders
At West Florida Electric Cooperative (WFEC), we strive to keep you informed and in control of your account and activity. To help you stay on top of important updates, we've implemented a range of alerts and reminders designed to make managing your account easier and more efficient. Below, we highlight some key features.
1. Account profile changes: Your account profile is important to your membership experience, and keeping it updated is essential. To ensure you're always aware of any changes made to your account, the co-op offers the option to receive real-time alerts whenever there's a profile update or change. These include:
• changes to your contact info
• password updates/reset alerts
• email address modifications
• security setting changes
• account lockout alerts
By receiving these alerts, you can confirm that any changes were made by you and address any discrepancies promptly. Whether you've made the changes yourself or need to report an unauthorized update, these alerts keep you informed and in control.
You can also set up payment alerts that include payment confirmations, returned check alerts, and arrangement installment due dates.
2. Energy use alerts: high energy use and net energy use: These notifications are designed to help you stay on top of your energy use and make adjustments when necessary. What is a high energy alert? This alert is triggered when your energy use spikes above a specified threshold, helping you identify when you're consuming more than expected. Whether it is due to a temporary activity increase or underlying issue, you'll be notified instantly. These alerts allow you to take proactive steps, whether it's adjusting your behavior or addressing potential issues with your system to optimize performance and costs. These notifications can be set up for daily or monthly alerts. You can also set up net energy use notifications. By staying informed about your energy use, you can save money, reduce your environmental impact and improve the efficiency of your overall energy consumption.
Managing alerts is easy and you can customize your notification preferences, ensuring that you receive the alerts that matter most to you. Whether you prefer email, text, or in-app notifications, managing these settings is quick and easy within your account dashboard or the cooperative's mobile app.
